Grand Massif Summary

The Grand Massif ski area consists of five resorts which are all linked either by lift or ski bus – Flaine, Les Carroz d’Araches, Samoens, Sixt Fer a Cheval and Morillon. The Grand Massif covers an impressively large area with something to offer all standards of skier, and, with plenty of its 265km of runs lying above 2000m, snow conditions are generally good.

The resort of Flaine in the centre is modern and purpose-built and is very popular with British clients, especially families on self-catering holidays. The outlying resorts of Les Carroz d’Araches and Samoens have a more traditional French feel and are very picturesque with some lovely forest slopes providing sheltered skiing during inclement weather.

Situated only 90km from Geneva, the Grand Massif is easy to get to with a transfer time of only an hour and a half from the airport.
