Les Deux Alpes Summary

The purpose-built resort of Les Deux Alpes benefits from some high, snow sure slopes offering a good variety of runs and an extensive glacier area. The resort is renowned for its après ski, with a bustling and friendly atmosphere in the bars, clubs and restaurants. There are also a couple of sports centres and a variety of activities on offer both on and off the slopes from relaxing in a hot tub to ice-climbing.

Snow reliability is generally very good here as lots of the skiing is above 2000m and many runs are north-facing. The skiing around the glacier is great for intermediates and progressive novices, whilst advanced skiers have several black runs, marked ski routes and off-piste areas. Beginners are well served by the village nursery slopes and can progress to some easy greens and blues. The terrain park is one of the best in Europe and has something for all standards. Children have four free T-bars in the village so they can get their ‘ski legs’ and there is even a kids’ freestyle area.

The resort is extremely popular with boarders who will find plenty of freeriding and a superb snow park.

If you want to go further afield during your stay, a six day Super Ski Pass includes La Grave, two days skiing in Alpe d’Huez (you can take a bus there or even a helicopter!) as well as a day in Serre Chevalier, Puy St Vincent or the Milky Way. It also gives you free access to the swimming pool and ice rink.
