Valloire Summary
The village has a lively centre with a choice of bars and restaurants as well as a disco and nightclub and is free from through traffic during the winter months. Entertainment here is mainly family orientated and there is a bowling alley and an ice rink in the resort. Activities for the more adventurous include speed riding and microlight flights.
70% of the ski area is above 2000m for the best snow. Beginners have nursery slopes at village level and also high up the mountain whilst intermediates have the whole area at their disposal. The main snow park is situated on the slopes of the Crey de Quart Massif but there are three ‘easyzones’ fitted with hoops, curves and jumps for everyone to try. Skiing is fairly limited for experts but there are some challenging runs in the Setaz sector and some off-piste runs down to Valmeinier from the Crey de Quart.
