La Tania Summary

In a peaceful wooded setting just off the little road between Courchevel 1300 and Meribel, lies the purpose-built resort of La Tania. This small resort was built for the 1992 Winter Olympics and has an attractive, car-free centre with a handful of shops, bars and restaurants. Offering better value for money than other resorts in the area, yet with access to the whole vast network of linked ski slopes, La Tania is popular with families. The nursery slope is on the doorstep and novices can gain a lot of confidence on the sweeping green run down from the Praz-Juget above the village.

Lots of La Tania’s skiing is on the sheltered, wooded slopes above the village and Le Praz, with open slopes above Praz-Juget and down towards Courchevel. The local lift pass for La Tania also covers the Courchevel area (only two lifts away) and with a Three Valleys Pass you can easily head over the mountain to Meribel.

There is a supermarket in the resort but for a wider choice of shopping and restaurants, take the bus to Courchevel. Skidoo riding, snowshoeing, sledging and paragliding are available in La Tania with plenty of other leisure activities on offer nearby.
